Creative Hub

The Creative Hub serves as a central destination for the creative community throughout the Fall Edition. Designed as a welcoming space to Connect, Create, Recharge and Learn, the Hub brings together several dedicated experiences, including an Information Center, Recharge Lounge, Creator Lounge and Art Exhibits.

The Creative Hub creates opportunities for attendees and creators to:

• Connect with the craft community, exhibitors and fellow creators
• Create content, projects and meaningful connections
• Recharge between show-floor activities
• Learn through shared experiences, resources and creative inspiration

9/11: 25th Anniversary Memorial Exhibit

Twenty-five years on from September 11, 2001, award-winning quilter and teacher Carol Mesimer brings a selection of the works she began making in the days after the attacks. The first of them, Remember Me, hangs beneath hundreds of hand-lettered fabric strips, each one carrying the name of someone lost.

A large-scale composition built from colorful circles, each one handcrafted in crochet using Círculo cotton yarns and brought together into a single installation. Men’s Textile Collective Foundation

The Men’s Textile Collective Foundation treats fiber arts as more than a pastime. Its work positions textile craft as a tool for mental health, fine motor development and rehabilitation, and neurodivergent care, and sets out to break the gender stigma that keeps many men away from the needle in the first place.

The collection on display ranges from graphic pieced work to memory quilts built from service uniforms, patches and unit shirts. Founder Brice Porter also takes the Main Stage on Thursday to talk about how the industry might see its end users differently.

LOTERÍA

A Mexican tradition reimagined in textile.

LOTERÍA reimagines one of Mexico’s most beloved traditional games through the language of contemporary textile art. Bringing together the visual language of Mexican Lotería and the rich traditions of textile artistry, the exhibition transforms familiar imagery into a collection of quilts created through patchwork, embroidery, and quilting.

Each piece offers a personal interpretation of the iconic imagery associated with Lotería, translating a familiar cultural reference into contemporary textile art. Through fabric, color, stitching, texture, and meticulous handwork, the artists reinterpret these symbols from their own perspectives while preserving their connection to Mexican popular culture.

More than a game, Lotería has become part of Mexico’s collective visual memory. Its images have accompanied generations, becoming recognizable symbols of everyday life, humor, identity, and cultural heritage. In this exhibition, those familiar images leave the traditional playing card and enter a new dimension. Enlarged and transformed into textiles, they become works of art that invite the viewer to look again at something deeply familiar.

LOTERÍA celebrates Mexican culture through textile artistry, reinterpretation, and collective creativity, transforming a beloved traditional game into a contemporary textile experience.
